Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and attentive Server to join our dynamic hospitality team. In this role, you will be the face of our restaurant, delivering exceptional guest experiences through friendly service, efficient order management, and expert beverage and food knowledge. Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly, provide menus, and assist with seating arrangements to ensure a smooth dining experience
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems
• Serve food and drinks promptly, maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
• Process sales transactions efficiently, including cash handling, credit card payments, and upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations on wine, spirits, cocktails, and menu items to enhance guest satisfaction
• Collaborate with kitchen staff and bartenders to ensure timely delivery of orders and resolve any guest concerns promptly

Skills

• Proficiency with POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms
• Strong knowledge of beverage service including spirits, wine, cocktails, and drink presentation
• Previous food service or restaurant experience in fine dining or casual settings
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, positive attitude
• Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
• Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing cash transactions
• Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices in the food industry
• Ability to upsell menu items confidently to increase sales revenue
• Experience with OpenTable reservations system is a plus
• Culinary experience or kitchen familiarity is advantageous for understanding food preparation processes
• Nightclub or bar experience is beneficial for handling high-volume beverage service environments
• Strong guest relations skills to foster repeat business and positive reviews
