Duties

• Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm, creating a welcoming environment from the moment they arrive
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable, ensuring all special requests are noted
• Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
• Process sales transactions accurately, including cash handling and credit card payments, while adhering to cash handling procedures
• Upsell menu items such as wines, spirits, cocktails, and desserts to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
• Maintain knowledge of wine pairings, cocktail recipes, and food safety standards to provide expert recommendations
• Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and sanitation duties to support smooth restaurant operations
• Foster positive guest relations through attentive service, addressing inquiries promptly and resolving issues professionally

Qualifications

• Previous food service experience in restaurants or hospitality environments is preferred; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus
• Familiarity with POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms
• Strong knowledge of beverage service including spirits, wine, cocktails, and drink garnishing techniques
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
• Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining a friendly demeanor
• Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities
• Knowledge of food safety protocols and sanitation standards in the food industry
• Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality excellence
