Server

Overview
Sushi Umi Glendora is looking to fill a server position.

• 2 to 5 shifts per week (flexible)

Duties

• Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables with enthusiasm and professionalism
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems
• Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales
• Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
• Manage cash handling, cashiering duties, and process payments accurately
• Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas
• Provide exceptional guest services by addressing questions, resolving concerns, and fostering positive relationships
• Follow all food safety protocols and sanitation procedures to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff

Requirements

• Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred
• Strong knowledge of POS systems
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
• Ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts and multitask efficiently
• Basic math skills for cash handling and order calculations
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
• Culinary experience or kitchen familiarity is advantageous but not required
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Experience in serving, host/hostess roles, or bartending enhances your candidacy
