Position Overview

PKL Park is seeking energetic, friendly, and hospitality-driven Servers to join our team! PKL Park is a unique outdoor dining, pickleball, and entertainment destination featuring three restaurant concepts: The Kitchen, Nacho Taco, and Swamp Rabbit Chicken Co.

As a Server, you will be responsible for delivering an exceptional guest experience throughout the park. Unlike a traditional restaurant, our servers have the opportunity to serve guests across multiple dining areas while offering food from all three of our restaurants.

We are looking for team members who are outgoing, dependable, attentive, and passionate about creating a welcoming environment for every guest.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Service & Hospitality

• Greet guests promptly with a friendly, welcoming attitude.
• Provide attentive and professional service throughout the guest experience.
• Explain PKL Park's restaurant concepts, menu offerings, and ordering procedures.
• Take food and beverage orders from all three PKL Park restaurants.
• Make menu recommendations, answer guest questions, and accommodate special requests.
• Check on guests regularly to ensure satisfaction and address concerns promptly.
• Create a positive, fun, and welcoming atmosphere for guests of all ages.

Food & Beverage Service

• Accurately enter all food and beverage orders using Toast POS.
• Maintain a working knowledge of menus, ingredients, specials, and promotions across all three restaurants.
• Communicate effectively with bartenders, kitchen staff, food runners, and management.
• Deliver food and beverages accurately and efficiently when needed.
• Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and alcohol service procedures.
• Process guest payments through Toast POS and ensure accurate check management.
• Assist with large parties, private events, and special park programming.

Park Operations & Teamwork

• Maintain clean and organized tables, seating areas, and service stations.
• Assist with bussing tables, resetting seating areas, and maintaining park cleanliness.
• Support fellow servers, bartenders, runners, and other team members during busy periods.
• Stay informed about daily park activities, pickleball events, entertainment, and promotions.
• Help guests navigate the facility and answer general questions about PKL Park.
• Follow all PKL Park policies, procedures, and hospitality standards.
• Complete assigned opening, closing, and side-work duties.

Qualifications & Experience

• Previous restaurant or serving experience is recommended but not required.
• Experience using Toast POS is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Friendly, outgoing personality with a guest-first attitude.
• Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to learn multiple menus and restaurant concepts.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
• Dependable, punctual, and professional.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Must meet applicable age requirements for assigned duties, including alcohol service.

Physical & Work Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to carry food trays, beverages, and service supplies.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds as needed.
• Comfortable working in an outdoor environment with varying weather conditions.
• Ability to maintain a positive attitude during busy and high-volume service periods.
