Server – Job Description

Do you enjoy meeting new people, creating great experiences, and working with a team that feels like family? Jasper’s Backyard is looking for friendly, energetic, and motivated Servers to join our team!

We’re looking for people who genuinely enjoy taking care of others, have a positive attitude, and can keep things running smoothly when the restaurant gets busy. Whether you’re recommending a favorite dish, helping a guest find the perfect cocktail, or making sure a table has everything they need, the little things you do make a big difference.

Restaurant experience is a plus, but just as important is having a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and a team-first attitude. If you enjoy a lively atmosphere and take pride in making people feel welcome, we’d love to meet you.

What You’ll Do

• Welcome guests with a friendly attitude and make them feel at home from the moment they walk through the door.
• Help guests navigate the menu, answer questions, and offer recommendations on food, cocktails, beer, wine, and spirits.
• Enter orders accurately into our POS system and communicate clearly with the kitchen and bar.
• Deliver food and drinks promptly while making sure everything looks great and meets our standards.
• Share your knowledge of the menu and suggest additional items that will make each guest’s experience even better.
• Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and responsibly.
• Keep your section, service stations, and dining areas clean, organized, and ready for the next guest.
• Work closely with your fellow servers, bartenders, hosts, managers, and kitchen team to keep service running smoothly.
• Pay attention to the details, check in with your tables, and make sure guests have what they need throughout their visit.
• Handle guest questions or concerns professionally and ask a manager for help when needed.
• Follow our service standards, uniform requirements, and food safety procedures.
• Step in to help your teammates whenever needed because great service is a team effort.

• A willingness to learn our menu, beverages, and service standards.

• Basic math skills and the ability to handle payments accurately.
• Dependability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
• Previous restaurant experience is preferred, but we’re happy to consider people who bring the right attitude and a willingness to learn.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Pay: $2.83 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 36.0 per week
