Sweetwater Tavern is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Restaurant Server to provide attentive service and help create a positive dining experience for guests. This role involves greeting customers, explaining menu items, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and coordinating with kitchen and front-of-house team members. The ideal candidate is professional, organized, and comfortable working in a busy restaurant environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and provide friendly, attentive, and professional service.
• Present menus and answer basic questions about food and beverage options.
• Take customer orders accurately and communicate special requests to the kitchen.
• Serve food and beverages promptly and confirm order accuracy.
• Check on guests during meals and respond to their requests.
• Enter orders and process payments using the restaurant's POS system as needed.
• Maintain clean and organized tables, dining areas, and service stations.
• Clear and reset tables between guests.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff, hosts, and other servers to maintain smooth service.
• Follow food-safety, sanitation, and restaurant service procedures.
• Assist with opening, closing, and routine side duties as assigned.
• Communicate customer concerns to a supervisor or manager when necessary.

Qualifications

• Previous server, restaurant, hospitality, or customer-service experience is helpful but not always required.
• Friendly and professional approach to guests.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and responsible.
• Good attention to detail and order accuracy.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Able to manage multiple tables and customer requests.
• Willingness to learn menu items and restaurant procedures.
• Ability to work cooperatively with kitchen and front-of-house teams.
