Duties

• Greet guests warmly, present menus, and provide detailed descriptions of food and beverage options.
• Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted.
• Serve food and beverages efficiently, including cocktail service and drink mixing, with a focus on spirits and wine knowledge.
• Process sales transactions accurately, handle cash and credit card payments, and give correct change.
• Upsell menu items including premium spirits, wine pairings, or specialty cocktails to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables promptly and assisting with food handling procedures.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders while adhering to food safety regulations.
• Provide excellent guest relations by addressing questions about menu items, accommodating special dietary needs, and ensuring overall guest comfort.
• Assist with opening or closing duties as needed, including setting up stations or cleaning work areas thoroughly.

Experience

• Previous food service experience in a fast-paced restaurant or fine dining environment is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability in beverage service including cocktail mixing, spirits knowledge, and wine expertise.
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality excellence.
• Experience with food handling, sanitation standards, and food safety protocols is essential.
• Knowledge of the food industry trends such as openTable reservations management or nightclub service is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple tables efficiently through excellent time management skills.
• Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and handling cash confidently.
