Duties

• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their visit
• Take accurate food and beverage orders
• Process sales transactions efficiently while handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods
• Upsell menu items including cocktails, wines, spirits, and specialty dishes to enhance guest experience and increase sales
• Serve food and drinks promptly, ensuring proper presentation and adherence to food safety standards
• Maintain cleanliness by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and assisting with sanitation practices
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and resolve any guest concerns promptly
• Demonstrate extensive knowledge of menu offerings including wine knowledge, cocktail recipes, spirits experience, and food preparation details
• Manage guest relations by addressing inquiries professionally and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere
• Assist with food handling procedures and support overall restaurant operations during busy shifts

Qualifications

• Previous food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus
• Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable for order entry and sales processing
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to upsell effectively while maintaining professionalism
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours
• Knowledge of beverage service including cocktails, spirits, wine knowledge, and drink service techniques
• Ability to process cash transactions accurately while maintaining attention to detail in math calculations
• Food safety certification or willingness to obtain certification prior to employment is desirable
• Experience in bussing tables, host/hostess duties, or food handling enhances your candidacy
• Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment with high standards for sanitation and guest satisfaction
