Duties

• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems
• Process sales transactions efficiently while handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods
• Upsell menu items including sake, beers, wines, and specialty dishes to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
• Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining proper beverage service standards including drink presentation and cocktail preparation
• Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are consistently met during food handling and serving
• Assist with food preparation when needed and support kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
• Maintain guest relations by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and creating a welcoming atmosphere
• Manage multiple tables efficiently through excellent time management skills in a fast-paced environment
• Support overall restaurant operations by collaborating with team members to ensure seamless service delivery

Qualifications

• Previous food service experience in japanese restaurants is highly preferred
• Proficiency with POS systems
• Strong knowledge of beverage service including sake, beer, and wine presentation techniques
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport quickly with guests
• Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices in the food industry
• Experience with food handling, food preparation, and basic math for order processing and billing purposes
• Demonstrated ability to upsell menu items confidently to maximize sales opportunities
• Hospitality background with a focus on guest relations and service excellence is desirable
