Duties

• Greet guests warmly, present menus confidently, and provide detailed descriptions of food and beverage options to enhance their dining experience
• Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted and fulfilled
• Serve food and beverages promptly, including wine, spirits, cocktails, and non-alcoholic drinks, demonstrating beverage service expertise
• Upsell menu items and suggest wine pairings or specialty drinks to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining guest satisfaction
• Process cash and credit transactions efficiently, handle cash handling responsibilities accurately, and balance registers at shift end
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery while managing multiple tables during busy hours

Qualifications

• Previous food service experience in restaurants or similar hospitality environments is preferred; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is advantageous
• Strong knowledge of beverage service including spirits, wine, cocktails, and drink presentation techniques
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build guest relations and handle diverse customer needs professionally
• Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume periods while maintaining attention to detail
• Basic math skills for processing sales transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $24.27 - $40.00 per hour
