Job Summary

We are seeking a professional and personable Server to join our fine dining establishment, specializing in sushi. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional customer service, ensure a memorable dining experience, and efficiently manage food and beverage orders. This role requires a strong knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktails, and food service operations, along with the ability to process sales transactions accurately. Candidates should have previous experience in a similar setting and possess excellent communication skills to engage with guests effectively.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
• Take accurate food and beverage orders, including sushi, wine, spirits, and cocktails
• Process cash and credit card transactions efficiently using POS systems
• Maintain knowledge of menu items, including wine pairings and specialty drinks
• Assist with serving food and beverages in a timely manner, ensuring presentation standards are met
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of the service area according to health and safety standards
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during service hours
• Handle guest inquiries professionally and resolve any issues promptly to ensure satisfaction
• Support team members as needed to maintain a high level of service quality

Skills

• Strong basic math skills for processing transactions accurately
• Experience with POS systems for sales processing
• Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktails, and general beverage offerings in a fine dining setting
• Previous food service experience, preferably in sushi or similar cuisine establishments
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with guests effectively
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Experience in fine dining environments is highly preferred
• Ability to process sales transactions quickly and accurately while providing excellent customer service

Pay: $18.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15.0 – 40.0 per week
