Duties

• Greet guests warmly, provide menus, and assist with menu selections based on their preferences and dietary needs
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as SpotOn and Tock
• Process sales transactions efficiently while handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods
• Serve food and drinks promptly, including cocktails, spirits, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages, ensuring presentation standards are met
• Upsell menu items and specials to maximize sales opportunities while enhancing the guest experience
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in compliance with food safety regulations; bus tables and reset for new guests
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery; assist with food handling and basic food prep when needed
• Manage guest relations by addressing inquiries or concerns professionally and courteously
• Support beverage service operations including drink preparation, spirits knowledge, and cocktail presentation
• Assist with opening or closing duties such as cash handling, balancing registers, and cleaning work areas

Experience

• Previous food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly preferred
• Experience working with POS systems is a plus
• Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail mixing, and beverage service enhances your ability to upsell effectively
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality excellence
• Ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment while multitasking seamlessly
• Familiarity with food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
• Experience in fine dining or nightclub settings is advantageous but not required
• Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately; experience with cashiering or cash handling preferred

Pay: $25.00 - $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 50.0 per week
