Duties

• Greet guests warmly, present menus confidently, and answer questions about menu items, specials, and dietary options.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Micros POS, ensuring timely communication with kitchen staff.
• Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining proper food handling and sanitation practices.
• Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales by recommending popular dishes or beverages.
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering duties like processing payments and giving change.
• Maintain cleanliness of tables, dining areas, and service stations to ensure a welcoming environment.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure orders are prepared correctly and delivered promptly, demonstrating excellent time management skills.

Qualifications

• Previous food service or restaurant experience preferred; familiarity with the food industry is a plus.
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly, positive attitude towards guests.
• Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS is advantageous; basic math skills are essential for cash handling and billing accuracy.
• Understanding of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques.
• Ability to manage multiple tables efficiently while providing attentive guest services.
• Experience in food preparation or kitchen environments is beneficial but not required.
• Excellent communication skills paired with a passion for hospitality and guest satisfaction.
