Job Summary

Winchester Bar & Grill is seeking a friendly, attentive, and dependable Server to provide excellent dining service to guests. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work efficiently in a busy restaurant and bar environment.

The Server will greet guests, explain menu options, take accurate food and beverage orders, coordinate with kitchen staff, and help ensure every guest enjoys a welcoming and pleasant dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and assist with seating or initial dining needs as required.
• Present menus and explain food and beverage options.
• Take accurate orders and communicate special requests to the kitchen.
• Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally.
• Check on guests during their meals and respond to requests.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other servers.
• Maintain clean and organized tables and service stations.
• Process guest bills and payments accurately.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and restaurant service procedures.
• Restock service supplies and prepare dining areas for upcoming shifts.
• Address guest concerns professionally and notify management when assistance is needed.
• Follow applicable workplace policies and responsible alcohol-service requirements where relevant.

Requirements

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Friendly, professional, and guest-focused attitude.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Good organization, attention to detail, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work cooperatively with kitchen and front-of-house teams.
• Basic math skills for handling payments and checking bills.
• Previous serving or hospitality experience is preferred but may not be required.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and carry serving trays.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Any required alcohol-service certification must be obtained according to applicable local regulations.
