Job Summary

Stories Coffee Company is seeking a friendly, attentive, and dependable Server to provide welcoming service and help create a positive experience for guests. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a team-oriented attitude, and the ability to manage orders efficiently in a café or coffeehouse environment.

The Server will greet guests, explain menu options, take accurate orders, deliver food and beverages, and maintain clean and organized dining areas. This role requires attention to detail and a commitment to consistent service quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and help them understand available menu items.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and communicate special requests.
• Serve prepared food and drinks promptly and courteously.
• Answer basic questions about menu ingredients and available options.
• Coordinate with baristas and kitchen team members to ensure accurate orders.
• Check on guests and respond to reasonable requests during their visit.
• Process payments accurately using the point-of-sale system.
• Clean and reset tables and maintain tidy dining areas.
• Restock napkins, utensils, cups, and other service supplies.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and hygiene procedures.
• Report guest concerns or order issues to the appropriate supervisor.
• Assist with opening, closing, and other café duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Friendly and professional attitude.
• Strong communication and guest-service skills.
• Ability to work effectively with baristas and other team members.
• Good organization and attention to detail.
• Basic math skills and comfort handling payments.
• Ability to work efficiently during busy service periods.
• Previous café, restaurant, or hospitality experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed.
