Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and professional Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service in a fast-paced, fine dining environment, ensuring every guest has a memorable experience. Prior experience in food service, strong communication skills, and a passion for hospitality are essential. Knowledge of POS systems and food safety standards will be highly valued. This role offers an opportunity to grow within the hospitality industry while providing outstanding service to our guests.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
• Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
• Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining presentation standards
• Handle cash and process payments accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of dining areas, including bussing tables and resetting for new guests
• Ensure food safety and proper food handling procedures are followed at all times
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
• Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly to ensure guest relations are positive
• Assist with other restaurant duties such as host/host responsibilities or food preparation as needed

Skills

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments
• Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
• Ability to upsell menu items effectively to enhance guest experience and sales performance
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
• Basic math skills for cash handling, billing, and making change accurately
• Experience with reservation systems like OpenTable is a plus
• Strong communication skills and teamwork orientation to collaborate seamlessly with colleagues
• Previous host/host or serving experience is desirable but not required; hospitality background is preferred

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
