Overview

We are looking for someone to join our FOH team at The Kings Arms & Oyster Shack as a Server, and become the heart of an energetic dining experience! In this role, you will deliver exceptional guest service by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring every guest feels welcomed and valued. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create memorable moments for our guests while maintaining a lively, positive atmosphere. This full time position offers an exciting opportunity to further develop your hospitality skills and grow within a vibrant, up and coming restaurant environment.

Duties

• Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm, providing recommendations and upselling where appropriate to enhance their experience
• Accurately take food and beverage orders, entering them into the POS system efficiently and correctly
• Serve food and drinks promptly, ensuring presentation standards are met and guest satisfaction is prioritized
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of tables, dining areas, and service stations throughout your shift
• Ensure food safety standards are followed during food preparation, serving, and handling processes
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate timely delivery of orders and resolve any issues quickly
• Assist guests with special requests or dietary needs, providing excellent guest services that foster loyalty

Skills

• Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant settings, (minimum 1 year) with a strong understanding of serving procedures
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling and sanitation
• Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing tabs efficiently
• Familiarity with food preparation techniques and kitchen operations is a plus
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables while maintaining quality service
• Strong guest service orientation with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
• Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance the guest experience and increase sales

Pay: £12.71-£13.50 per hour
