Duties

• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their dining experience
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
• Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
• Serve food and drinks promptly, ensuring proper presentation and adherence to food safety standards
• Manage table settings, bussing, and sanitation to maintain a clean and welcoming environment
• Assist with food preparation and kitchen support as needed to ensure timely service
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and basic math calculations
• Maintain thorough knowledge of menu items, specials, and wine pairings to assist guests effectively

Requirements

• Previous restaurant or food service experience, including fine dining or nightclub settings preferred
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality excellence
• Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable for order entry and payment processing
• Knowledge of food handling, sanitation practices, and food safety regulations
• Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Experience with upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities
• Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude that fosters guest satisfaction
• Basic math skills for cash handling and billing accuracy
• Previous host/hostess or serving experience is a plus; culinary or kitchen experience is advantageous
