Server, Counter Help

Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and organized Counter Help to join our restaurant. Good customer service skills and knowledge of food safety practices are key. This role is responsible for efficiently managing the front-of-house, providing an exceptional dining experience for our guests, and contributing to the overall success of our restaurant.

Duties

• Greet and welcome guests, ensuring a positive and friendly atmosphere.
• Manage the flow of customers, taking orders and processing payments through our POS system.
• Provide accurate and timely service, addressing any questions or concerns guests may have.
• Upsell and suggest menu items to increase sales and enhance the dining experience.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to food safety and handling standards.
• Utilize OpenTable to manage reservations and table assignments.
• Perform basic math calculations to accurately handle cash and credit transactions.
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to customer service, ensuring guests leave satisfied with their experience.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless service and maintain a positive and efficient work environment.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a restaurant or food service setting is preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to handle challenging situations.
• Familiarity with POS systems and basic math skills.
• Knowledge of food handling and safety practices.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• A passion for the culinary industry and a willingness to learn and grow with our team.
• The ability to upsell and suggest menu items to increase sales.
• Availability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Job Type: Part-time

Expected hours: 15.0 – 20.0 per week
