Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems
• Process sales transactions efficiently while handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods
• Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery to tables
• Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, and specialty dishes to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables and assisting with food handling and preparation when needed
• Manage guest inquiries or concerns promptly to ensure a positive dining experience
• Assist in training new team members and lead by example in delivering exceptional customer service
• Support beverage service including cocktail mixing, wine pouring, and spirits knowledge to elevate the guest experience
• Uphold food safety standards and proper sanitation protocols at all times

Skills

• Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms
• Extensive restaurant experience with a focus on high-volume service environments
• Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build guest relations quickly and effectively
• Ability to upsell menu items confidently using sales techniques.
• Experience in beverage service including wine knowledge, spirits expertise, and drink presentation
• Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
• Basic math skills for processing cash transactions accurately and managing bills seamlessly
• Leadership qualities for Lead Server roles including team coordination and training abilities
• Culinary experience or kitchen familiarity is a plus for understanding food preparation processes
• Knowledge of alcohol laws and responsible beverage service practices
