Position: Server

• Certifications required: “California Food Handler’s Permit”, “RBS Alcohol Permit”

Availability

• Friday, Saturday & Sunday 4pm-10pm
• Expected to work all required Holidays

Knowledge required:

• Menu items, ability to identify each dish and their components & flavor profiles
• Sources of Ceron Kitchen’s featured selections of food
• Wine pairing, wine recommendations, wine region knowledge
• Spirit varietals, cocktail elements, flavor profiles
• Be able to describe featured and popular cocktails in appearance and flavor profile

Skills

• Proper table side service protocols (ex: which side to serve plates vs which side to pull plates from) Includes beverage placement, utensils, napkin reset
• How to properly open and pour a bottle of wine & champagne for table side service
• How to serve an opened bottle of wine
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize table maintenance tasks
• (Bar experience needed)

Expectations as a Team Member:

• Communicate effectively and respectfully with rest of staff
• Support other servers with running food and drinks
• Looking for customers who need assistance outside of own section
• Supporting food runner and bussers, and (when appropriate) bartenders
• Maintaining stock of necessary supplies
• Maintain cleanliness throughout restaurant
• Maintaining clean uniform and personal hygiene

Direct Duties

• Service tables
• ( Need to have bar experience)
• Deliver orders of food, drink, necessary preset/reset silverware, glasses & plates
• Clear finished plates, glasses
• Serve wine (opening presentation and pouring table side)

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $17.46 per hour
