Server for Busy Brunchery Daytime hours

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dining environment. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for providing exceptional customer service and have experience in the food industry, particularly in fine dining or nightlife settings. As a Server, you will be responsible for ensuring guests have an enjoyable dining experience by delivering high-quality service, taking orders accurately, and providing knowledgeable recommendations.

Duties

• Greet and seat guests in a friendly and welcoming manner.
• Present menus and provide detailed information on food and beverage offerings.
• Take accurate orders and relay them to the kitchen staff using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems.
• Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
• Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to guests while maintaining high standards of presentation.
• Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience and address any concerns promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables as needed.
• Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines during food handling and preparation.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow during peak hours.
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including basic math calculations for billing.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant experience is preferred, with a focus on fine dining or nightclub environments being a plus.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with guests.
• Excellent time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tables in a busy setting.
• Familiarity with OpenTable or similar reservation systems is advantageous.
• Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and billing processes.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices is essential.
• Culinary experience or kitchen knowledge is beneficial for understanding menu items better.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated when necessary.
