Server for Winery restaurant

Job Summary

Join our vibrant winery restaurant team as a Server, where you will be the welcoming face and attentive host for our guests. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your hospitality skills and grow within a dynamic food and beverage setting. This is a tipped role, and contributes to the tip out for non tipped FOH Staff. We can employ staff 18-21 (and above) in this role because we do not serve spirits.

Duties

• Learn and be able to 'sell' the meu and wine pairings to guests
• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements to ensure a smooth flow of service
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using OrderPort POS ensuring and accurate order delivery to guests
• Serve food, wine, beverages, and RTD cocktails with precision and attentiveness, maintaining high standards of beverage service
• Process sales transactions efficiently while handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods securely
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tables, bar area, and service stations in accordance with food safety standards
• Assist with bussing tables and supporting kitchen staff during busy periods to ensure seamless operations

Requirements

• Previous food service experience in fine dining or upscale restaurant environments is highly preferred
• Familiarity with POS systems for order entry and sales processing
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude and the ability to build guest rapport
• Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while multitasking efficiently
• Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and handling cash confidently
• Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures
• Experience in hospitality or the food industry is advantageous; host/hostess experience is a plus
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
