SERVER (MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE)

Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and experienced SERVER to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide attentive service throughout their visit
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
• Process cash and credit card transactions efficiently while maintaining accuracy in sales recording
• Serve food and drinks promptly, including cocktails, spirits, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages
• Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and maximize sales opportunities
• Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety standards are consistently followed
• Maintain cleanliness of tables, service stations, and dining areas at all times
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and resolve any service issues promptly
• Demonstrate extensive knowledge of menu items, including wine pairings and cocktail recipes
• Handle guest inquiries professionally, addressing concerns to ensure guest satisfaction
• Assist with opening or closing duties as needed to support restaurant operations
• Follow all food safety protocols and sanitation guidelines to uphold health standards

Skills

• Proven experience as a SERVER in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality environment with fine dining or nightclub experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable for order entry and sales processing
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport quickly and handle diverse guest needs
• Demonstrated ability in upselling beverages, cocktails, spirits, and menu items effectively
• Knowledge of wine types, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques
• Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
• Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities
• Culinary experience or food industry background is a plus for better understanding of menu offerings
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays in a lively environment
• Strong communication skills to coordinate seamlessly with team members and kitchen staff
• Commitment to food safety standards and sanitation practices at all times
