Job Overview

Must be over 21 due to our bar setting. Must be able to work nights.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their dining experience
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery
• Upsell menu items, including cocktails, spirits, wines, and specialty dishes to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
• Process cash and credit card transactions efficiently while maintaining accuracy in sales records
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols
• Assist with food preparation tasks when needed and ensure proper food handling procedures are followed
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure orders are prepared correctly and served promptly
• Use reservation management tools like OpenTable to coordinate seating arrangements and manage guest flow effectively
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations on wine, spirits, and menu options based on guest preferences
• Handle guest inquiries or concerns professionally, ensuring a positive dining experience from start to finish

Skills

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, including fine dining settings preferred
• Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms for sales processing
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
• Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
• Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing
• Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques
• Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining a friendly demeanor
• Food safety certification and understanding of sanitation standards required for food handling roles
• Experience with reservation systems like OpenTable is a plus
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude that fosters guest relations and collaboration
