Server- Part Time AM Shift

Des Moines Renaissance Savery is currently seeking a remarkable individual for a AM Server position at our StepStone Hospitality managed hotel. This individual will provide a welcoming atmosphere, prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, maintain a clean and organized bar, and ensure every guest receives prompt, friendly, and professional service. • Take food and beverage orders accurately and enter them into the POS system.
• Serve food and drinks in a timely, courteous, and professional manner.
• Answer questions about menu items, ingredients, and dietary options.
• Ensure guest satisfaction by checking in throughout the meal and addressing any needs.
• Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure correct and timely order delivery.
• Handle payments, issue receipts, return change, or process credit cards.
• Maintain cleanliness of tables, stations, and service areas.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Greet all guests in a warm and enthusiastic manner and assist the host or hostess in seating guests as needed.
• Present menu, answer questions, and make suggestions regarding food, service, appropriate wines, and food preparation.
• Memorize menu selections and wines, including being familiar with daily specials and basic ingredients.
• Use proper verbiage and etiquette, including serving ladies first.
• Write the order in an order notebook. Repeat the order back to guests for clarity.
• Relay orders to the kitchen and service bar utilizing the point-of-sale system.
• Observe guests to fulfill any additional requests and to perceive when the meal has been completed for guest checkout.
• Total the bill and accept payment or refer the guest to the cashier.
• Ladle soup, portion pies and desserts, and brew coffee.
• Notify a manager immediately of any guest complaints.
• Use proper etiquette guidelines for seating guests.
• Practice and observe all safety rules and procedures.
• Assist all service personnel in any duties as requested.

Maintain and follow all cash handling procedures.
