Server (Restaurant)

Overview
Sharon’s Creole Kitchen is looking for friendly and reliable Servers to provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced Creole restaurant environment. If you enjoy working with people and delivering great dining experiences, we want you on our team!

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS, ensuring clarity and efficiency
• Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
• Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
• Manage table settings, bussing, and sanitation to maintain a clean, organized dining area
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties with basic math skills
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery in accordance with food safety standards
• Utilize reservation management tools like OpenTable to optimize seating arrangements and guest flow
• Provide excellent guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns, and ensuring a memorable experience
• Maintain knowledge of menu offerings, including culinary ingredients and food handling procedures in a fine dining or nightclub setting

Requirements

• Prior restaurant or food service experience, including serving, bussing, or host/hostess roles preferred
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality and guest relations
• Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while multitasking seamlessly
• Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and proper food handling techniques
• Experience with food preparation or kitchen operations is a plus but not required
• Excellent communication skills coupled with basic math proficiency for cashiering tasks
• Previous experience in fine dining or nightclub environments is desirable but not mandatory
