Server Shift Lead

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Leader to join our team in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. As a Shift Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing staff, and ensuring that all food safety and quality standards are met. This role requires a hands-on approach to both management and food preparation, making it essential for candidates to have a solid background in the food industry.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring high standards of food quality and customer service.
• Train, develop, and mentor staff members in customer service best practices.
• Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels.
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for cash handling and transaction processing.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness throughout the dining areas.
• Assist with budgeting and financial management to optimize restaurant profitability.
• Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally to ensure satisfaction.
• Conduct interviews and assist in the hiring process for new team members.
• Collaborate with management on strategic initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.

Experience

• Proven experience in a quick service or fast food restaurant environment; fine dining experience is a plus.
• Strong background in food service management, leadership roles, serving and bartending.
• Familiarity with food handling practices and safety regulations.
• Experience in training & development of staff members to enhance their skills.
• Previous roles may include shift management, restaurant management, or assistant manager experience.
• Knowledge of culinary techniques and food production processes is beneficial.
