JOB DESCRIPTION – SERVER

Position: Server / Waiter / Waitress
Department: Food & Beverage
Reports To: Captain / Supervisor / Restaurant Manager

Job Purpose:
To provide professional, friendly, and efficient food and beverage service to guests while ensuring guest satisfaction and maintaining the restaurant’s service standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Present menus, explain food and beverage items, and provide recommendations when required.
• Take guest orders accurately and communicate them to the kitchen/bar.
• Serve food and beverages according to established service standards.
• Ensure tables are properly set, clean, and ready for service.
• Check regularly on guests’ needs and ensure their satisfaction throughout the dining experience.
• Handle guest requests, complaints, and special requirements professionally.
• Process and assist with guest bills and payment procedures accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the dining area, service stations, and equipment.
• Coordinate with Kitchen, Bar, Cashier, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Follow all company policies, SOPs, food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety standards.
• Assist with opening and closing duties, including mise en place and cleaning.
• Upsell food and beverage products where appropriate to maximize sales.
• Report any operational issues, guest feedback, damaged equipment, or lost and found items to the supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Restaurant Manager.
