Server Team Member

Otto Downtown is a Japanese-concept restaurant and bar serving izakaya-style food, an extensive sake and beverage program, and craft cocktails. We're looking for servers who are hospitality-driven, quick on their feet, and genuinely curious about food and drink.

What you'll do

• Deliver attentive, knowledgeable service from greeting through check-out
• Learn and confidently describe the menu, including sake, beer, wine, and cocktail offerings, and make recommendations
• Take and enter orders accurately in the POS, manage timing and course pacing with the kitchen
• Maintain a clean, organized section and side stations; complete opening, running, and closing side work
• Handle payments accurately and follow all cash/card handling procedures
• Respond to guest needs and resolve issues promptly, escalating to a manager when appropriate
• Comply with all food safety, alcohol service, and sanitation standards

What we're looking for

• Prior serving experience preferred; full-service or Japanese/Asian concept a plus
• Strong communication and a warm, professional demeanor under pressure
• Ability to memorize menu details and speak to ingredients, allergens, and pairings
• Reliable, punctual, and a team player who pitches in
• Basic math and comfort with POS/handheld ordering systems
• Must be 18+ and able to obtain any required alcohol-service certification (e.g., responsible beverage service / SC ABC compliance)

Physical requirements

• Stand and walk for extended shifts (up to 8+ hours)
• Carry trays and lift up to ~30 lbs
• Work in a fast-paced environment with frequent bending, reaching, and multitasking

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25.0 – 30.0 per week
