Duties

• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Process sales transactions efficiently while handling cash, credit cards, and digital payments
• Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, and specialty dishes to enhance guest experience
• Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining proper food handling and sanitation standards
• Assist with setting up tables, bussing, and cleaning to ensure a clean and organized dining area
• Use OpenTable or similar reservation systems to manage guest seating efficiently
• Maintain knowledge of menu offerings, including wine knowledge and spirits experience, to answer guest questions confidently
• Support team members during busy hours by sharing responsibilities like food prep or assisting in the kitchen when needed
• Uphold food safety standards and sanitation protocols to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff

Experience

• Previous food service experience in a fast-paced restaurant or fine dining setting is highly preferred
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
• Experience with cocktail service, wine knowledge, spirits handling, and beverage service is a plus
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle diverse situations gracefully
• Ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts while maintaining attention to detail
• Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities
• Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques
• Experience working in hospitality environments such as nightclubs or high-volume restaurants is beneficial
