Server Team Member

Tasty Pot in Mira Mesa area is looking for full-time/part-time servers and food runner to join our team. We specializes in mini hotpots and boba milk teas. Food Runner Responsibilities

• Deliver food from the kitchen to guests accurately, safely, and promptly.
• Handle and transport hot food, hot pots, boiling broth, heated dishes, and other high-temperature food items with appropriate care and safety precautions.
• Use proper serving techniques when handling hot food to minimize the risk of burns, spills, or accidents.
• Be aware of steam, hot surfaces, splashes, and other potential hazards when carrying and serving food.
• Ensure food is presented according to Tasty Pot's standards before serving.
• Communicate clearly with servers, kitchen staff, and management regarding food orders, special requests, and potential safety concerns.
• Assist servers and other team members with efficient and timely food service.
• Ensure the correct food is delivered to the correct table.
• Clear used dishes and utensils from tables and bring them to the appropriate area.
• Assist with resetting and maintaining clean dining tables.
• Refill food-related items such as sauces, condiments, utensils, and other supplies as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe dining and service area.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
• Promptly report spills, broken equipment, unsafe conditions, or injuries to management.
• Assist with opening, closing, restocking, and cleaning duties.
• Work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant environment.

Barista Responsibilities

• Prepare boba milk teas, teas, specialty beverages, and other drinks according to Tasty Pot recipes and standards.
• Follow recipes and portion guidelines to ensure consistency and quality.
• Prepare and replenish boba, toppings, teas, and other beverage ingredients.
• Accurately prepare beverage orders and ensure drinks are completed in a timely manner.
• Handle hot and cold beverage ingredients and equipment safely.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked beverage station.
• Provide friendly and welcoming customer service when preparing and serving beverages.
• Monitor beverage quality and communicate any concerns to management.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and beverage preparation procedures.
• Assist with opening, closing, cleaning, and restocking the beverage station.
• Ensure beverage orders are labeled or matched correctly with the appropriate guest order.

Physical & Safety Requirements

• Ability to safely handle and carry hot food, hot pots, heated dishes, boiling broth, and other high-temperature food items.
• Ability to work around steam, hot surfaces, boiling liquids, and kitchen equipment.
• Ability to remain alert and follow proper safety procedures when handling hot or potentially hazardous food items and equipment.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during a shift.
• Ability to lift and carry trays, dishes, and restaurant supplies.
• Ability to work efficiently while maintaining awareness of guests, coworkers, equipment, and potential hazards.
• Must follow all applicable food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety requirements.
• Must immediately report spills, burns, injuries, damaged equipment, or other unsafe conditions to management.

Preference but not required:

• Able to speak Chinese/Vietnamese
