Duties

• Greet guests warmly, take accurate orders, and serve food and beverages efficiently using POS systems such as Toast / Open Table
• Provide detailed wine, spirits, and cocktail recommendations, upselling menu items to enhance the guest experience.
• Process sales transactions accurately, handle cash and credit card payments, and manage cash handling procedures responsibly.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, cleaning workstations, and adhering to food safety regulations.
• Assist with food preparation, food handling, and beverage service to ensure timely delivery of orders in a fast-paced environment.
• Use OpenTable or similar reservation systems to manage guest seating efficiently and optimize table turnover.
• Engage in guest relations by providing attentive service, addressing questions about menu items, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction.

Skills

• Proven experience in food service roles such as serving, bartending, or hosting within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
• Strong knowledge of POS systems including Toast and other transaction processing tools.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to upsell menu items like wine, spirits, cocktails, and specialty dishes.
• Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts while maintaining attention to detail.
• Basic math skills for processing sales transactions accurately and managing cash handling procedures.
• Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and proper food handling techniques.
• Experience with beverage service including spirits, wine knowledge, drink presentation, and cocktail preparation in fine dining or nightclub environments.
