Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables with enthusiasm and professionalism
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
• Process sales transactions efficiently, including cash handling and credit card payments
• Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and safety
• Upsell menu items, including wines, spirits, cocktails, and special dishes to enhance guest experience and increase sales
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all service areas, including bussing tables and food handling
• Assist with food preparation, beverage service, and supporting kitchen staff during busy periods
• Ensure guest relations are positive by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and providing personalized service
• Follow proper food safety protocols and sanitation procedures to uphold health standards in the restaurant industry

Skills

• Extensive knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable for order processing and sales transactions
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally
• Proven experience in food service environments, including fine dining or nightclub settings
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
• Ability to upsell menu items confidently, including wine, spirits, cocktails, and specialty dishes
• Basic math skills for processing cash transactions accurately and managing bills
• Knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques
• Culinary experience or kitchen background is a plus for better understanding of menu offerings
• Beverage expertise including cocktail making, spirits knowledge, wine pairing, and drink service techniques
• Experience with reservation systems such as OpenTable is preferred for managing guest seating efficiently
