Duties

• Greet guests warmly and assist with reservations using OpenTable or similar reservation systems to ensure smooth seating flow.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders, utilizing POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, while upselling menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
• Serve food and drinks promptly, including cocktail and spirits service, ensuring proper presentation and adherence to food safety standards.
• Process cash and credit card transactions efficiently, handling cash handling duties with precision and maintaining balanced registers.
• Provide knowledgeable wine and beverage recommendations, sharing insights on wine pairings and spirits to elevate the dining experience.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all service areas, including bussing tables, resetting dining spaces, and assisting in food preparation when needed.
• Support guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring guests leave satisfied and eager to return.

Skills

• Proven experience in fine dining or upscale restaurant environments with strong knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and food safety practices.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms for sales transaction processing.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly while managing multiple tables efficiently.
• Strong communication skills combined with effective time management to handle busy service periods smoothly.
• Knowledge of wine varieties, spirits, cocktail mixing techniques, and beverage service standards.
• Experience in food industry roles such as serving, bartending, host/hostess duties, or kitchen support is highly desirable.
• Ability to perform basic math accurately for billing purposes and sales transactions while maintaining attention to detail.
