Server/Auxiliary Worker

Job Summary:

QUALIFICATIONS to include the following:

• Possess a willingness to learn about large, commercial food service operations.
• Ability to effectively operate, with instruction, commercial kitchen machinery/equipment.
• Arrive to scheduled shifts on time and ready to work for the day, frequent standing, bending, lifting of 40 pounds, walking, and grasping- sometimes in wet or cold environments such as dish room and coolers/freezers

JOB GOAL: Operate as an effective member of the kitchen team in order to prepare and serve nutritious daily meals to students. Performance of all jobs within the department to ensure the team is successful throughout the day. “Not my Job” is not an option

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Food Preparation & Service: Portions and serves meals on the line according to standardized recipes, menus, and nutritional guidelines. Assisting others in department with all daily duties

Sanitation & Safety: Maintains cleanliness of kitchen equipment, serving utensils, and work stations following HACCP and health department regulations

Record Keeping: Tracks inventory, logs daily food temperatures, and completes daily meal count or waste reports. Maintain compliance with USDA and DPI requirements

Customer Service: Interacts positively with students, staff, and faculty during meal service while handling point-of-sale (POS) or cashiering duties as assigned. Maintaining confidentiality of student information

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.67 - $17.69 per hour
