Duties

• Greet guests warmly, provide menus, and assist with seating arrangements to ensure a welcoming atmosphere
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Toast, processing sales transactions efficiently
• Serve food and drinks promptly, including cocktails, wine, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages, maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
• Upsell menu items and drink specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
• Handle cash transactions accurately while managing openTable reservations and guest billing procedures
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols
• Engage with guests to provide exceptional customer service, address inquiries, and foster positive guest relations

Requirements

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, including fine dining experience preferred
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast
• Strong knowledge of beverage service including cocktails, spirits, wine, and drink pairing recommendations
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask efficiently during busy periods
• Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and handling cash transactions
• Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and guest-focused attitude
• Knowledge of food handling, sanitation standards, and food safety regulations in the food industry
• Previous experience in serving or host/hostess roles is advantageous but not required; a passion for hospitality is essential
