Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly, take food and beverage orders accurately, and serve with enthusiasm.
• Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, wine, craft beers, and non-alcoholic options, adhering to recipes and presentation standards.
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process cash transactions efficiently and accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
• Develop new beverage recipes and assist in menu creation to enhance guest experience.
• Manage multiple tables or bar stations simultaneously while providing attentive service.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food orders during busy periods.
• Handle cashing out guests accurately, process payments securely, and balance registers at shift end.
• Engage with guests to promote specials, upsell menu items, and foster a lively social environment.
• Uphold all hospitality industry standards including food handling, responsible alcohol service, and safety protocols.

Skills

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with a focus on fine dining or casual dining settings.
• Extensive cocktail experience with knowledge of mixology techniques and beverage recipe development.
• Strong familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for processing transactions smoothly.
• Knowledge of wine varieties, spirits, craft beers, brewing processes, and beverage pairing principles.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly while maintaining professionalism.
• Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables or bar stations efficiently during busy hours.
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and accurate billing procedures.
• Experience in food safety practices including proper food handling and sanitation protocols.
• Previous hospitality industry experience including banquet or catering settings is a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while demonstrating flexibility in scheduling.
