Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements in a timely manner
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems we use Toast systems!
• Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, wine, craft beers, and spirits, adhering to established recipes and presentation standards
• Engage with guests to recommend drinks, answer questions about menu items, and enhance their overall experience
• Process cash transactions efficiently while maintaining accuracy in cash handling and cashiering duties
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
• Collaborate with kitchen staff and management to ensure smooth service flow during busy hours such as nights and weekends
• Assist in beverage recipe development and experiment with new cocktail ideas to keep the menu fresh and exciting
• Uphold high standards of customer service by actively listening to guest needs and resolving issues promptly

Skills

• Extensive experience with POS systems, we use Toast POS; proficiency in processing cash transactions accurately
• Knowledge of beverage recipes, mixology techniques, wine varieties, craft beer styles, spirits, and cocktail creation
• Proven ability in food service environments with fine dining or nightclub experience preferred
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables or bar stations efficiently during peak hours
• Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and positive attitude
• Solid understanding of food safety standards, food handling procedures, and sanitation practices
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced hospitality setting
• Basic math skills for retail math calculations such as tipping, change making, inventory counts, and sales tracking
• Experience in bar management or catering is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential as there may be additional tasks delegated to staff that assisst with inventory tracking.
