Duties

• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive service throughout their visit, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, and process transactions efficiently with cash handling skills.
• Prepare and serve a variety of beverages including cocktails, wine, craft beers, and spirits while adhering to established recipes and presentation standards.
• Develop new beverage recipes and experiment with flavors to enhance the bar menu, showcasing creativity and knowledge of mixology.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards and proper sanitation practices.
• Manage bar inventory by monitoring stock levels, placing orders for supplies, and minimizing waste through effective stock rotation.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food service during busy hours in a fine dining or nightclub environment.
• Handle cash transactions accurately, process payments swiftly, and balance registers at shift end.
• Engage with guests to promote specials or upcoming events, boosting sales through friendly upselling techniques.
• Uphold high standards of hospitality industry experience by providing exceptional customer service tailored to diverse clientele.

Skills

• Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order entry and transaction processing.
• Extensive cocktail experience combined with beverage recipe development skills to craft signature drinks.
• Strong knowledge of wine varieties, spirits, craft beers, and beverage trends within the hospitality industry.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in fast-paced environments like nightclubs or fine dining establishments.
• Experience in food service operations including serving food efficiently while maintaining quality standards.
• Demonstrated ability in bar management tasks such as inventory control, bar setup, and cleanliness protocols aligned with food safety regulations.
• Basic math skills for retail math calculations related to sales totals, tips, and cash handling accuracy.
• Previous hospitality industry experience emphasizing professionalism in catering settings or retail environments involving food and beverages.
• Time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy shifts while maintaining attention to detail.
