Server/Bartender

Hourly wages are starting compensation and may be adjusted based on experience as well as actual position performing (ie. server, bartender, closer, etc) after 90 day probationary period. Note: This job does receive tips, pay shown may include tips (wages, plus tips usually exceed $25/hour) .

Hiring Part Time and Full Time - Evening Shifts - except Saturday which could be day or night or a double every 3rd or 4th Saturday of the month.

Ideal candidate would be someone that is looking for extra work in the afternoon/evenings and anytime Saturday; or has another source of income that needs to be supplemented.

*Job Summary*

As a bartender, you will be trained to become a "closer" responsible for assisting with overseeing a team within a food & beverage service environment, ensuring smooth operations and excellent customer service while being able to serve and/or tend bar during the shift. Closing the register and ensuring foh closing procedures are followed and completed by foh staff. Your leadership skills will be crucial in driving team performance and achieving business objectives. Bartending will be 1-3 days and Serving will be remaining days on schedule.

*Duties*

• As a bartender, you will also assist with leading a team of associates to provide exceptional customer service

-As a server, you will take customer orders, deliver food to tables, pre-bus/bus tables and assist with open and closing duties for foh.

• Lead and maintain restaurant standards to enhance the customer satisfaction.

• Monitor basic foh inventory levels and assist with inventory control procedures

• Assist with training, developing, and coaching team members to improve their skills and performance

-Greet and interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner

• Take drink and food orders and provide recommendations based on customer preferences

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and menu items in a fast manner both at the bar to guests and some table service

• Answer telephone and take orders for take out

• Prepare drinks for service bar

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area

• Assist with maintaining cleanliness and organization of stations/sections

• Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate cash drawer

• Monitor alcohol consumption and ensure responsible serving practices

• Oversee and assist with opening and closing duties as required

*Experience*

• Strong food & beverage service (Bar, Service Bar and Table Service)

• Strong understanding of retail math and pos systems

• Knowledge of food & beverage management practices and procedures including ServeSafe food safety practices and procedures with current certification a plus

• Ability to lead by example and motivate team members

• Experience in training development and coaching techniques a plus

Pay: $7.25 - $25.00 per hour
