Server/Bartender

Overview

We are seeking a friendly, attentive Server/Bartender to provide welcoming and efficient service in a hospitality-focused environment. This role combines serving guests, preparing and serving beverages, processing payments, and helping maintain a clean, safe dining area. The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, communicates clearly, and can stay organized during busy service periods.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests, explain menu items, answer questions, and provide attentive customer service throughout their visit.
• Take and accurately enter food and beverage orders using a POS system; experience with Micros POS is a plus.
• Serve food and drinks promptly, check in with guests, and coordinate with kitchen and service staff to support a smooth dining experience.
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages in accordance with established procedures and applicable food safety requirements.
• Process guest payments, operate the register, and handle cash and card transactions accurately.
• Follow food handling, sanitation, and food safety practices, including keeping service stations and dining areas clean and orderly.
• Manage multiple tables and tasks while maintaining accuracy, professionalism, and effective time management.
• Communicate guest needs, order updates, and service concerns to the appropriate team members.

Experience

• Restaurant, food service, or broader food industry experience is preferred.
• Previous serving and bartending experience is an asset; training may be provided for role-specific procedures.
• Familiarity with POS systems, including Micros POS, is helpful.
• Customer service and hospitality skills, with a courteous and guest-focused approach.
• Basic math and math skills for order entry, payment processing, and accurate cash handling.
• Ability to follow food safety and food handling practices.
• Strong communication, organization, and time management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced setting.

Pay: $17.95-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 32.0 per week
