Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly, take accurate food and beverage orders, and serve with enthusiasm to enhance the dining experience
• Serve a variety of beverages including cocktails, spirits, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks, ensuring proper presentation and quality standards
• Operate POS systems for order entry, sales transactions, and processing payments efficiently and accurately
• Upsell menu items including specialty drinks and food options to maximize sales opportunities while providing personalized recommendations based on guest preferences
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, cleaning bar areas, and adhering to food safety protocols
• Assist in food preparation tasks when necessary, supporting kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
• Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately during shifts, including processing cash transactions and balancing registers at shift end
• Engage with guests proactively to foster positive relations, handle inquiries professionally, and resolve any concerns promptly
• Support team members by sharing knowledge of wine pairings, spirits expertise, and menu details to enhance guest satisfaction
• Follow all sanitation regulations related to food handling, beverage service, and overall cleanliness of the dining areas

Experience

• Proven experience as a Server or Bartender in a fast-paced restaurant or bar environment with a focus on fine dining or upscale service preferred
• Demonstrated proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms for order processing and sales management
• Extensive cocktail experience including drink mixing techniques, spirits knowledge, and presentation skills
• Strong background in food service operations with familiarity in food safety standards and sanitation practices
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly while managing multiple tables or bar stations efficiently
• Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining a professional demeanor under pressure
• Knowledge of wine varieties, beverage trends, and upselling strategies that enhance guest experiences and increase sales momentum
• Experience working with reservation systems like OpenTable is a plus but not required
• Basic math skills for order calculations, change handling, and inventory management are essential
