Server/Bartender for a Cobourg Pub

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing excellent customer service and creating memorable experiences for our guests. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for mixing, garnishing, and serving drinks according to recipes or customer preferences while maintaining a clean and organized bar area.

Duties

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers in a timely manner.
• Engage with customers to take drink orders and provide recommendations based on their preferences.
• Maintain knowledge of current drink trends, recipes, and ingredients.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system for order entry and cash handling.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety standards.
• Clean and sanitize bar equipment, utensils, glassware, and the bar area regularly.
• Monitor customer behavior to ensure responsible alcohol service.
• Assist in inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying management of low stock levels.

Experience

• Previous experience in a bartending or restaurant environment is preferred.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with guests.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
• Familiarity with POS systems for efficient order processing.
• Knowledge of food safety practices within a food service setting is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor are essential for success in this role.

Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
