Duties

• Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables with a welcoming attitude
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Toast POS
• Serve food and drinks promptly, ensuring presentation standards are met
• Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, and special dishes to enhance guest experience
• Process cash, credit card, and digital transactions efficiently while maintaining accuracy
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables and assisting in food handling and preparation when needed
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations on wine, spirits, and menu options to elevate guest satisfaction
• Manage multiple tables effectively through excellent time management and multitasking skills
• Support guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and professionally

Experience

• Previous food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly preferred
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast POS, or RESE is advantageous
• Demonstrated ability to upsell menu items including beverages and specials to increase sales
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction and relationship building
• Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, food safety, sanitation practices, and food handling procedures
• Experience working in high-volume restaurants is a plus
• Ability to manage cash transactions accurately while processing sales efficiently
• Excellent math skills for handling bills, tips, and change confidently
• Proven ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude
