Server/Cashier

Overview
A Food Server / Cashier is responsible for providing excellent customer service by taking orders, processing payments, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and welcoming dining environment. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service

• Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Take customer orders accurately and enter them into the POS system
• Answer questions about menu items, specials, and ingredients
• Ensure customer satisfaction through attentive service

Cash Handling

• Operate cash registers and POS systems
• Process cash, credit, debit, and mobile payments
• Issue receipts and provide correct change
• Maintain accuracy and integrity in all financial transactions

Food Service

• Serve food and beverages according to company standards
• Assist with food preparation or assembly when needed
• Ensure food items meet quality and safety standards
• Package takeout or delivery orders neatly and correctly

Cleanliness & Safety

• Keep workstations, dining areas, and counters clean and organized
• Follow health, sanitation, and safety regulations
• Restock supplies such as utensils, napkins, condiments, and cups

Teamwork

• Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food service
• Support team members during busy shifts
• Communicate clearly about customer needs or concerns

• Ensure customer satisfaction through attentive service

Skills & Qualifications

• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Basic math skills and ability to handle cash accurately
• Ability to stand for long periods and work in a fast‑paced environment
• Attention to detail and strong multitasking abilities
• Previous experience in food service or retail is a plus (but not always required)

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs when needed
• Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods

Pay: $9.00 - $10.00 per hour
