Job Overview

Will average about $25 an hour with Itips.

Duties

• Greet guests warmly, provide menus, and answer questions about food, beverages, and specials with enthusiasm
• Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff
• Process sales transactions efficiently, handling cash, credit cards, and digital payments accurately
• Serve food and beverages promptly, including cocktails, wine, spirits, and non-alcoholic drinks, demonstrating beverage service expertise
• Upsell menu items and drink options to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in dining areas, bar stations, and service stations in compliance with food safety regulations
• Assist with bussing tables, resetting dining areas quickly during busy hours, and supporting kitchen staff when needed
• Build positive guest relations through attentive service, addressing concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction
• Manage openTable reservations for seamless guest seating arrangements during peak hours
• Support food preparation tasks as needed while adhering to food handling and sanitation guidelines

Skills

• Proven experience in food service roles such as server or cashier within a restaurant or hospitality setting
• Familiarity with POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS for sales processing
• Strong knowledge of beverage service including cocktails, spirits, wine knowledge, and drink presentation techniques
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and ability to engage guests effectively
• Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while processing sales efficiently
• Basic math skills for bill calculations, change handling, and sales transactions processing
• Culinary experience or food industry background preferred for better understanding of menu items and food safety standards
• Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods without compromising service quality
• Knowledge of openTable reservation system is a plus for managing guest seating smoothly
• Experience in fine dining or nightclub environments is advantageous for adapting to diverse customer expectations
• Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and ensure seamless service flow
• Commitment to sanitation standards including proper food handling practices and maintaining a clean work environment
