Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly, provide menu recommendations, and take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
• Serve food and drinks promptly, including cocktails, spirits, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages, ensuring presentation meets quality standards.
• Process sales transactions efficiently, handling cash, credit cards, and digital payments with accuracy while maintaining proper cash handling procedures.
• Upsell menu items including specialty drinks, desserts, or premium selections to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety guidelines.
• Assist with food preparation or kitchen support when needed to ensure smooth service flow during busy periods.
• Provide exceptional guest relations by addressing questions about menu items like wine knowledge or cocktail options and resolving any concerns promptly.

Experience

• Previous food service experience in a restaurant setting is highly preferred, especially in fine dining environments or fast-paced venues.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to process orders and transactions confidently.
• Experience with beverage service including cocktails, spirits, wine knowledge, and drink presentation techniques.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle multiple tables efficiently.
• Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing sales transactions smoothly.
• Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures.
• Experience in roles such as host/hostess or cashier within the food industry is a plus; culinary experience is also valued for understanding food preparation nuances.
