Server/Cashier

Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and personable Server/Cashier to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the friendly face that greets and serves our guests, ensuring they have an exceptional dining experience from start to finish. You will handle food and beverage service, process sales transactions accurately, and maintain a clean, welcoming environment. Your enthusiasm for hospitality and attention to detail will help create memorable moments for our guests while supporting efficient restaurant operations.

Responsibilities

• Take orders accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS, ensuring prompt and friendly service.
• Serve food and beverages, including cocktails and spirits, with professionalism and attention to presentation standards.
• Process cash, credit card, and other sales transactions efficiently while handling cash safely and accurately.
• Provide excellent guest relations by addressing questions, making recommendations, and upselling menu items to enhance the dining experience.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all food handling, beverage service, and dining areas in compliance with food safety regulations.
• Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, setting up dining stations, and supporting kitchen staff as needed.
• Use openTable or similar reservation systems to manage guest seating efficiently during busy hours.

Skills

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, including fine dining settings preferred.
• Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, and other cash handling tools.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude that fosters guest satisfaction.
• Ability to multitask effectively while managing time during busy shifts; strong organizational skills are essential.
• Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques.
• Basic math skills for processing sales transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities.
• Familiarity with food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures.
• Previous experience in serving or host/hostess roles; bartending or beverage expertise is a plus.
