Server/Cashier

Job Summary

As a Server/Cashier, you’ll create a welcoming dining experience while keeping orders and payments accurate and moving smoothly. You’ll serve food and beverages, answer guest questions, process sales transactions, and coordinate with kitchen and service teams. Your impact: Attentive service and accurate order handling help guests enjoy their visit and help the team deliver reliable hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests, take orders, provide guest services, and support positive guest relations.
• Serve food and beverages, including drink service; share menu information and use upselling appropriately.
• Process cash transactions and other sales using point-of-sale (POS) systems; maintain accurate cash handling and basic math.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff on food preparation, food handling, and service needs while following food safety and sanitation practices.
• Manage time effectively and keep service areas clean, organized, and ready for guests.

Requirements

• Customer service, serving, cashiering, or other food service experience is helpful; restaurant, food industry, hospitality, or guest services experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with POS systems is useful; Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable experience are preferred.
• Basic math skills and accuracy processing sales transactions and handling cash.
• Knowledge of food handling, food safety, and sanitation; food preparation, culinary, or kitchen experience is a plus.
• Beverage service experience is welcome, including cocktail, spirits, or wine knowledge. Fine dining or nightclub experience is also a plus.

Pay: From $17.50 per hour
